2006 Alabama Gourd Show

2006 Alabama Gourd Show: October 21 & 22, 2006.

THEME: Gourd Island

Location: Cullman Civic Center. Cullman, Alabama.
                Directions: From I-65 take exit #308, Highway 278 east into Cullman. Turn right at Main Avenue (if construction is completed).
                    Go one or two blocks and turn left at the Post Office. Civic Center is on the right, at 504 5th Street, SW.

Admission: $2.00 for adults and free for children 12 and under, when accompanied by an adult.

Shop the beautiful vendor booths featuring amazing arts & crafts made from gourds, tour the ribbon competition exhibit hall, take a gourd art crafting class to make your very own handcrafted gourd, and watch artists do free demonstrations of their crafts. There will be live music and door prize drawings throughout the day. There is also a dinner on Saturday night where gourds and other items are auctioned off. This is always lots of fun!! Vendor Information: Vendor Regulations and Vendor Application.
Crafting Class Schedule: Seventeen Classes will be taught this year during the festival.
Ribbon Competition: The ribbon competition is open to anyone and there is no cost to exhibit a gourd in the competition. Exhibits may be brought in on Friday, Oct. 20, from 12 to 9 pm or on Saturday, Oct. 21, from 7 - 7:30 am. Judging begins promptly at 8am.
Dinner Reservations: (dinner reservation at bottom of page) Reservations must be postmarked by September 22, 2006.

If you would like to volunteer some of your time to help with the Festival (setting up, monitoring the ribbon competition area, helping with ALGS booth, helping with admissions, or other activities) please let us know.
